One of my favorite poetry books is called, Never Take a Pig To Lunch. It is filled to the brim with silly, funny poems about food and related things. For example, "My Mother Says I'm Sickening" , by Jack Prelutsky, is a great one and here's a sample:
"My mother says I'm sickening,
my mother says I'm crude,
she says this when she sees me
playing Ping-Pong with my food!"
So, stop by the library and check it out!
