Happy National Poetry Month! In honor of that and Poetry Friday, here's a brand new book the Library just got - The World's Greatest Poems, by J. Patrick Lewis and Keith Graves. Each clever poem is about a world's record, from the shortest snake to the most live scorpions eaten by a human.
I really like "The Kookiest Hat." It's about a man who wore a fried egg on his head. When asked why, his answer was:
"A fried-egg hat repels the rain,"
Was what the man replied,
"Because, my dear, I always wear
It on the sunny side."
You can reserve the book here.
