We've got some great programs coming up this week...
**Please remember that all Palo Alto City Library branches will be closed on Monday, May 26 in observance of Memorial Day.
Tomorrow, Saturday, May 24, at Children's Library there will be a very special
Paws to Read program. This program, in which children will have the opportunity to read to a dog for 15 minutes, takes place from 2:30-3:30pm.
This program does require pre-registration. Most of the reading slots are full, but there may be one or two left. If you're interested in signing up your child to read to a dog, send an e-mail to
librarychildrensservices@cityofpaloalto.org or call 650-329-2436 and select the Children's Reference option.
Next Wednesday, May 28 at 3:30pm,
Library Fear Factor comes to Children's Library! Contestants will be blindfolded and asked to smell or touch 8 different items. All participants get a prize, and the person who correctly guesses the most items will win a grand prize. This program is for kids Kindergarten through 5th grade ONLY.
