Baby, It's Cold Outside

By the sounds of things in the library and at storytime, cold season is upon us. It's time to harp on the kids to wash their hands...ALOT. Did you know that a majority of kids get about 12 colds per year? And most are spread by hand to hand contact, which means you can not bug your child enough to wash his/her hands often. It's impossible to eliminate colds all together but we can all do our fair share to cut down on spreading germs. Read this for more info:http://www.webmd.com/cold-and-flu/cold-guide/children_colds. There's lots of helpful tidbits on these pages. And if your child must stay home in bed, check out some of the comforting, sometimes funny, books we have about being sick.
