Horn Book Magazine came out with one, too; all of the books on their list received starred reviews in the last few years. You can find it here. A new school novel that I read and enjoyed recently is Andrew Clements' No Talking! Clements has written a number of popular school stories, and this one is a lot of fun. Back to School - Read All About It!
