Poetry Friday: Toad by the Road

Hello everyone!

For November's last Poetry Friday, I would like to share with you a unique book called Toad by the Road, by Joanne Ryder. This book contains poems spanning a year in the life of a toad. We follow our toad friends from springtime, as they call to each other in the pond, all the way to winter, when they burrow underground to hibernate. In addition to fun poems and great illustrations, author Joanne Ryder has also included wonderful toad facts at the bottom of each page. After you have read this book you will be a toad expert!
