Cooking with Kids

If you're looking for a quick, easy (and yummy!) cookie recipe to make with your kids, check out this favorite that my family has been making for decades. This simple, four ingredient recipe doesn't require an oven, and the results are quick for the little ones who need immediate gratification.

Chinese Cookies

6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

6 oz. butterscotch chips

3 oz. can or bag of chinese crunchy noodles

7 oz. salted peanuts

Melt both kinds of chips together in a double boiler or in a large bowl in the microwave. Stir until the chips are combined. Stir chinese noodles and peanuts into the melted mixture. Cover cookie sheets with wax paper. Drop mixture by the teaspoonful onto the wax paper.

Chill cookie sheets in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes until the cookies are set.

It's best to double the recipe because everyone loves these cookies.

Happy baking!
