On May 24, from 2:30 to 3:30, your child will have the opportunity to read for 15 minutes to a dog! That's right, a dog! We are taking signups at the Children's library, so if you have a reluctant reader or a child struggling a little, we highly recommend giving this a try! It has been proven through numerous studies that when a child reads to a trusting, non-judgemental friend, literacy skills greatly improve. The child will have the dog's undivided attention and not once will he or she be corrected or asked to start over!! We only have 40 slots so don't wait.
