Happy new year! Start off 2009 with a wonderful program of stories to spark the imagination. The first Saturday Showcase of the year, starring storyteller Joy Swift, will be tomorrow, Sat., Jan. 3 at 2:30 pm at the Mitchell Park Library. All ages are welcome, and the event is sponsored by the Friends of the Palo Alto Library.
Baby Storytime starts up again next Tuesday at 11 am for an 8-week session at the College Terrace Library. Babies ages 6 - 18 months and their parents or caregivers will listen to delightful songs and stories.
Later on this month, the Annual Children's Library Storytelling Festival returns for a whole afternoon of traditional storytelling by a variety of Bay Area tellers. Stop by for some treats and stories any time from 1 - 5 pm on Sunday, January 25. Recommended for ages 4 and up.
